Today I had been reading through several questions through recent subscribers of my Ezine and one theme stuck out from the latest few – I’m cash-strapped and i am starting a home-based business. Or, I’m cash strapped and I want to make certain I don’t lose my business so let me know how you can sell my services successfully.<p>
So with this Ezine issue, here are three ideas I wanted to talk about on cash-strapped businesses:<p>
Extreme caution: Running on empty<p>
Let me first say with complete honesty you can’t operate on empty for too long. Much like you cannot end payment the mortgage and also have a roof too deep, you can’t invest zero dollars right into a business and be prepared to create income for you. That’s reality. You have to have some kind of cash to create clients and sales. You have to have some type of marketing budget.<p>
The other thing I’m experiencing with many different business owners is the fact that this “running on empty” cash-strapped knowledge actually started with “running on zero marketing.” As I’ve shared in several articles – Marketing may be the gas in your company engine. A lot of businesses are not consistently adding marketing fuel to begin with, so the company engine eventually stops producing clients and purchasers. So make sure you take this to heart – you must invest in marketing your business consistently to experience consistent results and success. Marketing is needed for success (and no, I don’t mean pretty brochures and expensive ads either).<p>
Zero-cost relationships increase sales<p>
Here are a few thoughts on partnerships that may produce sales. A photographer can partner with a bridal shop and perform a free workshop to draw an audience then produce sales within the tailgate end.<p>
A computer repair person can partner with a business coach to provide extra value to his/her clientele. The company coach does some free coaching which later leads to start up business. The computer repair business is viewed as much more valuable using the biz coaching thrown in also it earns credibility, loyalty and repeat business from the clients. The win/win partnership costs the business people zero dollars yet earns clients and cash.<p>
There is a truckload of partnership ideas you are able to explore for your own business that create a win/win. The hot button is to ask yourself “Who already has my customer but is not my competitor?” Then pick up the phone and call them and propose a mutually rewarding business partnership. My best example is when i did exactly might the result was over 100 new leads within two days and new sales within one week. Don’t underestimate the strength of partnerships with those who have your customer.<p>
Make your day HIGHLY revenue-focused<p>
This may seem like an easy thing, but most solo business owners spend nearly all their day or week on non-revenue-producing tasks. To draw in more clients and more income, you may want to change what tasks you focus on during the day. Clarify your client-attraction strategy and execute it with increased determination and consistency than ever before. Commit to making those calls, doing the marketing, doing the follow-up. Have a no-excuses approach to completing daily actions that produce clients and purchasers.<p>
As easy as it might sound, advertising media are strapped for cash, the thing to do would be to abandon time wasters and execute massive action toward producing the income you desire. And sometimes, that requires an enormous transfer of what your entire day appears like.<p>
